MacDonnell Range Holiday Caravan Park, NT
MacDonnell Range Holiday Park, what an amazing place to stay!
It was a 1500km drive for us to arrive, we did it over 3 days and heck were we ready to rest when we arrived.
The team in the office were super friendly and quick to accommodate us with 5 people, 2 cars, 1 caravan and 3 swags on the 1 ensuite site. We were given a map and a rundown on the park, and just hearing the team talk about the park was excitement in itself! Little Miss sure was keen to get out right into the fun stuff!
The park is set out so well, which made finding our site super easy. Cabins with cabins, ensuite sites together and powered sites alike. The amenities are well kept, the playgrounds are a plenty and the swimming pools and water slides are amazing. There are multiple stunning camp kitchens, free BBQ’s to use, games room, jumping pillows and even go-kart hire. They even put on free pancakes on Sunday mornings. You can’t go wrong there!
The jumping pillows are a great way for kids to burn off energy they've saved up while sitting in a car for 3 days
There are so many free activities to keep the kids amused for hours.
For added convenience to holiday makers, the park offers its own shop selling many of the necessities that we all probably have forgotten to pack once before, and it has its own fuel bowsers with well priced fuel.
The laundry is modern and a breeze to use, with a good amount of clothes lines out the back.
The kids had a ball hiring the go karts for an hour
The groundskeepers were always busy. Attending to the bins, the gardens, general maintenance, they always had a smile and a spare minute to say g’day. True to their job description, the park was always looking spiffy and inviting.
This park is the ideal setting for both relaxing after a long day of driving and also serving as a starting point for day trips. The price per night is average, we’ve stayed in cheaper parks, but as the saying goes “You get what you pay for” and if paying a little extra gets you into a park like this, then count us in!
We’d had reservations about staying in Alice Springs due to hearing theft in the town is quite prevalent, but as the park is fenced off, we felt very secure.
If you’re looking for a family owned, kid friendly, safe and secure park that has the enjoyment of all visitors as a top priority, then MacDonnell Range Holiday Park in Alice Springs should be your destination when in the NT.
