Packing Checklist for Hiring a Caravan

We all run through a million things in our heads when it’s time to pack for a camping trip.

There are so many questions, that we just don’t know the answers to, until we are actually on our trip.

*What will the weather be like?

It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on your destinations’ weather for the week prior to travel to give you a clear idea of what to expect.

*How much food should we take?

We generally allow for a day or so extra food in case we wish to slightly extend our trip.

*How do we keep the kids entertained?

There are many ways to keep the little ones entertained without technology. From sports equipment to craft activities, riding bicycles and scooters and even play equipment at your destination. Leave screen time to after dark when you can be sure your kids are close by and safe.

*What facilities will be available?

Most caravan parks have websites that allow you to grasp a good understanding of what facilities your destination will have. If you can’t access them online, give them a call and I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

I’m sure we have all been the ‘over-packer’, I’ll be the first to admit I pack too much, and my family sure does let me know often! But there is nothing worse than not having something you need while away.

So we have come up with a simplified checklist of items to pack when going on that well earnt trip.

As our RV’s come complete with many items, we will leave these off the packing list, as it’s just extra room taken up by things you simply don’t need to bring.
